Local transportation

Getting around in Hanoi is fairy easy and delightful because numerous attractions, restaurants, shopping venues, and hotels are located close to each other. The WCPE 2020 venue - HNUE is in Hanoi downtown, so easily accessible.

From the Airport to HNUE

The distance between Noibai International Airport (Noibai) and HNUE is around 20 km. The quickest way to get from the Airport to HNUE is to taxi which costs $18 - $22 and takes around 30 minutes.
However, it should be noted that traffic jams frequently take place in Hanoi, especially at peaking hours.

City transportation

The city’s local population travels mostly on motorbikes while taxis, buses, and private cars are available when you want to visit different places within Hanoi and its surroundings. Hanoi is a very compact city and most travelers choose to stay within the districts of Hai Ba Trung, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem (which includes the Old Quarter and the French Quarter), and Tay Ho (West Lake) during their holiday.

With support of hotel receptionists, you can take a taxi, hire a car or book a driver for your days in Vietnam. It is relatively inexpensive compared to other cities in Southeast Asia.

Some of the most reputable taxi companies in Hanoi include Taxi CP (+84 243 826 2626), Hanoi Taxi (+84 43 853 5353), Taxi ABC (+84 43 7191 919), and Mai Linh Taxi (+84 43 861 6161).

Alternatively, download and install grab app in your mobile to book motor-taxi, grab taxi, or grab driver with estimated price being provided.

To arrive in HNUE for WCPE 2020, you might find it useful to show the driver the university address in Vietnamese as follows:

Trường Đại học Sư phạm Hà Nội.

136 Xuân Thủy, Cầu Giấy, Hà Nội.
